Another week down

Hey everyone!
So we went to the University last week. Good greif that was intense! People everywhere speaking Epanol. Not even normal spanish! It was ridiclous!! But it was a good experience! I had fun!
I dont have much time left.
There are stray dogs everywhere! I just want to take them home  with me but they lookpretty raggy. Umm oh! In the streets there are people who come out and sell stuff during red lights. That is a little weird.
I cant really think of what went on during the week...
Oh the flu is going around of greapie as they call it here. so I got that this week. not fun! I was walking the halls in a blanket becasue I was frezing! i went outside and was freezing! But I was given magic pills by the doctor and I am all better now! Wonderful!
The weeks and days are starting to blend together and it is good casue I am ready to go out into the field! 19 more days!
well I love you all! Keep writing emailing me and sending dear elders! They are wonderful to get!
Love you all!

HOLA

one week down! Oh my goodness it has been such a rough week. They tell you it is going to be hard, and that you are going to have so many wonderful experiences and everything but they do not tell you that it is going to suck! And it is so wonderful and everything but it is hard. Really hard. That doesnt even begin to explain it.

It is such a wonderful esperience though. I don't even know how to describe it. I am like mad dash emailing. You guys have sent me so many emails I love it! I want to read them all!

So life as a missionary. Let me tell you. IT IS STRESSFUL! it is so great but dang! There is a lot to do. And there is so much to learn! I feel like I dont know anything at all! But I already know how to pray, share my testimony and introduce myself in Spanish.

I have taught three lessons in Spanish! I had no clue what I was saying but it felt right. And the spirit was so strong! There is so many new things to learn!

The food is weird, but it is beautiful here! it is really pretty and the people are wonderful! The food has actually been making me sick...but it is an aquired taste so I have hears. I just take that as it will make me sick till I get used to it basically.

Ahhh this timer is so fast!!

Ok so I have heard that to send me letters from Dear Elder Pouch. It is faster and then you dont have to worry about it getting lost or anything. For packages send them to the Florida address (mom can you send that on to people and post it on facebook?) I wont get those till I go out to the field though. I have a MTC address that you can send letters only to. Mom I have sent you a letter would you please post that address?

Well actually I have it here

I am a 19 year old girl from Castle Rock, Colorado and I going to be serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for 18 months in the Dominican Republic Santo Domingo East Mission! I am beyond excited to serve and teach the AMAZING people I am going to meet there! I grew up in an LDS family where uncles and cousins have served missions, but I am the first girl from the family to be serving and I am STOKED!
That's me!
That’s me!
I haven’t always wanted to serve a mission, however with the age change and a new found desire to serve I put my papers in and with anticipation awaited my call! I went to BYU-Idaho and being around all of the great people there and having the super sweet roomies that I had, I decided that maybe a mission was the next step for me. Ok, so I am “jumping on the band wagon” but hey! it is a good one to be on I would say.
I have never been out of the country…well this one time we drove through a sliver of Canada but we didn’t need passports at the time so I don’t count it. Soooo I am so beyond excited to go out and spread the gospel to other parts of the world and see other cultures and be around fantastic brothers and sisters in the gospel.
Ok, so I guess you may want to know a little more about me personally. Well I am a singer, I love being outside, and I have the most amazing family in the world! I love being around friends and happy people! I am known to have “sassy pants”.My boyfriend is currently serving a mission in Independence, Missouri! He was called to Rio De Janerio, Brazil…but hasn’t received his visa so he gets to serve in Missouri! He is my best friend and I think it is so cool that we get to go out and serve missions at the same time!  I do what makes me happy and I love love love being around friends and family. Did I mention I have the best family?? I do! I love them.
Love these guys like crazy!!
Love these guys like crazy!!
I was born in Montana, and then grew up in Washington, Alaska, and now get to call the glorious state of Colorado my home. I have always been an outdoorsy girl, I love being in nature doing fun things like hiking, fishing, camping, really anything you can do outside! I love to be active, I can never sit still for very long, so I am always busy doing something or on the move!

My life has been full of adventure and my family is always there to support me in any way that I need it. They have supported me through school, choirs, struggles, life in general, and now they are my biggest support in my decision to serve a mission for my church!
Speaking of such great supports…my mom and sister are going to be updating my blog and such while I am away since I won’t be able to. Sooooo stay tuned for some FANTASTIC blog updates from them!
